We need funding so we can create the first in a series of training videos for publishers and new Ambassadors, explaining how to approach various topics in an inclusive way. We aim for it to be approximately an hour long. Please note this video will not be publicly available, as we intend to use it to generate future income so we can pay staff. The amount listed here is to pay one of our Inclusion Ambassadors, who will be an expert by experience, to create the video - fair pay is important!
Inclusive Minds is a collective for people who are passionate about inclusion, diversity, equality and accessibility in children's literature. We offer authors, illustrators and publishers training, public speaking, consultancy and authenticity checks from over 100 Inclusion Ambassadors with lived experience of a diverse range of identities.

While we've grown a lot since being founded in 2013, we do not receive any external funding. The only funding currently received is used to pay Ambassadors for their services to book creators and to keep the network going. The team who run Inclusive Minds do so on an almost entirely voluntary basis. Any donations are greatly appreciated to help us deliver these valuable services and ensure fair pay for our Ambassadors!
