InflateVids is a self-hosted video platform for videos that feature balloons or inflatables. The platform is targeted at looners and inflatable lovers alike, whether it be non-pop or pop. The length of the videos are unlimited, but currently the size of the videos are limited to 1GB per video.
Tl;dr hosting video costs a lot of money. Serving video from a website requires a lot of bandwidth, and sadly bandwidth is pretty costly if you do not have your own servers or if your ISP is a whiny bunch of bastards who already complain about your personal bandwidth use... anyway The servers are hosted on DigitalOcean, which hosts both the website and the Content Delivery Network that serves the videos. They offer fast, scalable servers with proper networking hosted in the beautiful city of Amsterdam. Also, they don't care about adult content either. As long as it's "legal (in the US) adult content". Servers, scripts and bandwidth cost a lot of money. All of the money here get invested back into these costs. Any profit is put into a faster and more stable website, eventually being able to make multiple servers for content delivery, a server for a community website and more exciting future projects. It's important to realize that my only goal is to break even with this project, not making a profit. A place for all of these people to get together hasn't been properly done yet, and this is supposed to be that place. It benefits me too to have all of these videos together on one platform.
