I'm currently maintaining a project called presence.nvim since the original maintainer stopped their work on it. It's a Discord RichPresence plugin for NeoVim that shows some cool stats on your profile while you code. I've already added support for Flatpak version of Discord, merged some contributions and started thinking about how can I make the codebase better (the main file is now over 1k lines). I'm not a maintainer of some world changing project. But I'm still trying to contribute where I'm able to and I'm trying to maintain some things myself.
