Jonathan (he/him) is a freelance actor and writer based in Chicago. Much of his professional career has been spent teaching students, grades 6-12, in the content areas of English/Language Arts and Theatre. After working with students, many with an array of special needs, Jonathan found himself on the other side of disability when he was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune neuromuscular disorder in 2015. This catalyst for change in his life pushed him toward expression through the written word to make sense of the changes in both his body and dreams. Through cycles of illness, Jonathan is pursuing his Master of Fine Arts in Writing while freelance acting to bring visibility to marginalized voices as a disabled person in the LGBTQ+ community, and for anyone needing a story of encouragement: everyone is welcome here.
