I would like to buy my friend a piglet to raise and help with their food budget in the Philippines. Meat is a very costly item and often people have to go without meat because just one kg can cost more than their daily wage.
Just an old guy with an opinion. Been around the block a couple of times and learnt a bit each time. A true Aussie battler! Life is great for us here in the west but we often forget how hard it can be for others less fortunate. A lot of people earn $200 a day or more and pay between $4-$6 kg for chicken. In countries like the Philippines some people only earn from $5-$10 day and still pay $4-$6 kg for chicken. Just imagine paying half of your wage to buy a kilo of chicken?

It is not easy being on a pension but I have had a good life and helping others have a good life also is a small price to pay to make the world a better place for everyone.
