30-something chronically ill French-Canadian. Since 2018 my chronic illness has taken a turn for the worse. Since 2020 I've been unable to work, being bedbound for the vast majority of the day. I'm lucky enough that my work came with decent coverage for sick leave & disability, but I'm still struggling to get by. I'm not able to partake in all my hobbies anymore, but I used to play music (drums and I was learning bass+guitar); I also wanted to be a script writer. Used to be really into Magic: The Gathering, board games, and TTRPG as well. The toll my illness has on my brain makes those hobbies incredibly hard, and often plain impossible to do. Now I mostly watch horror movies, and, if my body allows it, play some video games. Also got into witchcraft in the last few years, in hopes it could help my illness.
