I have been a computer programmer and engineer since discovering computers at college in the 80s. To the irritation of many, I have always asked questions about the way things are done, especially programming. Why do we write programs using language? A computer is a machine and we use drawings to design machines, so why not draw programs? Well, the solution isn't quite so straight forward. It has taken me many years to develop a system to do it.

Suggested amounts £5 = This could be interesting £50 = Cool, I want to use this £200 = Let's make it happen KonneX is a no-code program creation tool that allows the programmer to generate software from a flowchart. Currently, this development system is aimed towards 32 bit microcontrollers such as the Parallax P2, ESP32, Raspberry Pi Pico and similar. It is hoped that this tool can be used to teach robotics to children intuitively, without the need to learn a programming language. Additionally, because KonneX is not based on any human language, once translations are available, the names and descriptions used in the diagrams can be displayed in the child's native language.
