Hello! Thank you for visiting! My name is Kerri, and I live in the foothills of Western North Carolina. Like many others, the pandemic forced me to make some important life choices and I retreated from public life into the peace of home in the quiet countryside. It has been wonderful and I haven't looked back! I enjoy roaming the woods and having my own private little retreat down by the creek. I've spent the last few years cultivating my domestic skills - learning to cook, making sourdough bread, keeping a garden. This year I'll be planting some magical herbs, and I hope to start making my own flower and crystal essences! I love using the Seek app to identify the plants and small creatures I share this land with...there's always something new to learn about! I was literally born upside down - breech and 1 month late. I have 4 Retrograde planets in my birth chart, and I have been struck by lightning twice. Needless to say, high strangeness follows me everywhere I go! :) I have had to learn everything I know both frontwards and backwards! My Esoteric Background: The spiritual realm has always been a major part of my life, and I have always been "different." My first childhood home had shadow beings, and I experienced a lot of strangeness from as early as I can remember - talking and walking in my sleep, being able to sense the presence of "others" in a place, receiving impressions. Being overshadowed with the "haunting" gave me a strong desire and need to understand it and learn how to cope with it. I was always captivated by the weird things children have access to - rocks and minerals, charms (like the little "Worry Dolls" found in tourist shops), and of course I absolutely loved the spooky local ghost stories people tell around here. One of my favorite things to do as a child was to "mix potions" with whatever ingredients my folks would give me - perfume sample vials, baby powder, dirt...it was big fun. When I was finally allowed to check out books from the "big kids" section of my elementary school library in 2nd grade, the first book I chose was "Ghosts of the Carolinas" by Nancy Roberts. A copy of it sits on my bookshelf today :) In Middle School, I found a book in the library that changed my life forever - Stars, Spells, Secrets and Sorcery. Right up my alley as a bit of a dabbler, that book has a little bit of everything esoteric. Right away my favorite part was the chapter about fortune-telling with playing cards - I haven't put cards down since then! I have developed my own way of reading cards, and I have even made my own card deck using all of the useful tidbits I learned! Over the years, I naturally progressed into the world of magick, astrology, Tarot, shamanism, energywork, psi gifts and intuitive development, ascension, past life regression, dowsing, and plenty of other connected subjects. In 2002, I became a Reiki master and was fortunate enough to work with many gifted people in the energywork field, many of whom have since retired or passed on. Although I have touch cognition and work well with hands-on energy, through sheer necessity because of where I live, I had to learn to master working remotely. I spent 5 years from 2008-2013 working with a dedicated ascension group under the instruction of a wonderful healer from Tasmania. We actively studied and worked daily to strengthen our abilities (particularly dowsing and visioning), and we worked on healing karmas by mapping past lives, working on the understanding & forgiving process, and integrating the tones of the Language of Light. Since 2015, my primary personal focus has been on refining techniques - connecting with protection strong enough to hold, connecting with my ancestors and the land where I live, deepening into the nuances of energy healing and sensitivity, developing higher capacity to work with crystals, and working with the mechanics of reality creation through meridian healing and shifting consciousness. I have spent the last couple of years trying to weave together all the various techniques and systems that I have learned over the course of 25+ years into something that makes sense to share with other people! I am very comfortable with beautiful, abstract, untranslatable energies and concepts, but when I share that, it's important to me that what I share be easily accessible, meaningful, practical, and actionable. Most of the questions I receive are mostly "How do I learn to…?" type questions. Why Do I Call it All Folk Magic? In its broadest sense, Folk Magic belongs to all human beings. It is Open Source. Literally. The energy behind it comes from Spirit and it is not trademarked, or only available to certain special people. Its source is SOURCE, our own heartfelt spirit and soul connections, our own creative abilities, and a sincere desire to help others through their difficulties. It's a lighthearted path! Folk Magic is Inner Child magic. It's about being observant, clever, imaginative, cooperative and kind….being willing to try new things no one ever did before if that's what the occasion calls for. It can also be traditional, using the wisdom of ones who came before us and relying on the strength of their experience and firm faith. Folk Magic is humble and resourceful - working with what we have, or can get easily. It's an alchemical leveraging of elements to create a benevolent change. The elements can be anything! Folk Magic comes from honestly accepting where we are at Point A, and having hope for a new and better path ahead to a beautiful and happy Point B. Folk Magic doesn't have to be polished and refined, but it can be. I prefer the easy, natural (little bit messy!) kind of way! Folk Magic is natural human magic - as pure and ancient as it gets. I believe all energy and information is holographic - when we do magical things, deep healing work, or awaken new gifts and abilities in ourselves, we make that an accessible possibility for everyone else also, and that truly is the one of the highest ways we can be a contribution to others and the Universe! What I'm Good At and How I Can Help I am a guide, coach, problem solver, quantum observer and mystical researcher, but mainly I'm a cheerleader! I have a lot of experience with remote healing work - both sending and receiving attunements. I do a lot of emergency prayer, magic and space holding for loved ones. And of course I'm a messenger - I work with a variety of tools to do readings and get information for people. The tool I use depends on what the question is. Florence Schoval Schinn said, "A friend can see the good and never waver because they are not close to the situation. No man can fail if one person sees him successful… Such is the power of the vision, and many a great man has owed his success to a wife, sister, or friend who 'believed in him' and held without wavering to the perfect pattern." One of the gifts of being a Projector, is that my energy connects right into the heart of whoever has my attention. Their energy becomes instantly available to me, and I can usually size up a person in a split second because I also have strong Splenic (ancient/primal) intuition. It's mainly a felt sense at first - a lot like the way animals react to certain people. I can see things in people they aren't necessarily consciously aware of. Usually if someone connects with me, it is for a reason. They can sense there's something in my energy they need to connect with. Very often I see beautiful things in people that they don't think is special, but it is! All they need to do is recognize it as a possibility for themselves, and have the support of someone who believes in them. A lot of people have natural abilities, but they haven't been introduced to the idea of it. What they need is someone with the right vocabulary to describe it to them as a thing - to quantum observe it into existence- and their light bulb switches on! That's where I come in handy, because if nothing else, I do have an extensive vocabulary and a lot of different things unlocked in my own energy. I'm a metaphysical charm bag/skeleton key/library/junk (DNA) drawer :) I have learned to work with a lot of systems to locate certain energies. I get so excited about the things that are continually being revealed to me! For me, it's not enough to be told "oh you are naturally clairaudient." Well great, but how do I learn to actually work with that? I can make suggestions for getting started, but ultimately actual mastery of a gift requires attention, study, experimentation and practice! The learning phase can be uncomfortable for a lot of reasons. Often we feel a lot of pressure to get things right, and when things don't go the way we expected on the first try, we give up. DON'T GIVE UP. If there's something to be learned from the mistake, apply it. If not, brush it off and keep going :) It took me months of daily practice to be able to get an accurate clairvoyant image, and months of daily practice to get my ego out of the way of my dowsing. It takes years to be able to see certain synchronic patterns in nature and life. "Patience is a field of grace." If you can get the ego out of the process, things work better and it's a lot more fun! I am happy to share my intuitive observations, messages from my spirit circle, and lend a helping hand with any of the tools and gifts I have at my disposal!
