Our minimum monthly costs for Low Orbit hover around 25 dollars a month. This is just for simple things like hosting fees, transcription costs and occasional equipment costs. If the bare minimum were covered, we could move on to things like upgrading our equipment and even one day paying our contributors! But one step at a time. This is the first step.
Low Orbit is an award winning audio magazine featuring voices, stories and sounds from the creative community. We produce and feature lots of different kinds of things: documentary stories, radio style stories, memoir, fiction and non-fiction pieces, poetry, music, comedy, even the odd avant-garde soundscape from time to time. We want to provide a showcase for talented people to reach an new audience and a compelling show full of surprises for that audience.
Low Orbit has been a no-profit operation up to this point. In fact, we pay to make it! What we have been thinking lately is, what if we could offset those costs? Just a little! So here's where you can help!
