Namaste, thank you for visiting my page! My name is Kristie, and I am a mandala artist and booksmith in Concord, North Carolina. After working as a nurse for over 25 years, I was laid off my job at the beginning of the Covid pandemic. At that point, I decided to pursue my passion for artwork and opened Mettā Studio. I currently have started a new career working in the automotive parts industry and have recently been promoted to an assistant manager! The work has allowed me to continue to volunteer as a weather spotter (hence my nickname "Puddle Jumper" 😃, create art after hours and most recently creating watercolor cards to include with meals and supplies for the homeless in our area. Thank you so much for supporting my love of creating and helping me to focus on things that bring me joy!
Our mission at Metta Studio is to share our love for art by offering beautiful, affordable artwork and teaching to artists of all ages. We believe that creating art is a powerful tool for health, growth and healing and should be accessible to all who share our passion.
