My artwork is inspired by fairy tales, mythology, scary stories, holidays, and memories of a happy childhood that was filled with fun and imagination. Originally from Chattanooga, Tennessee, I graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta with an Associates Degree in Visual Communications. I started working during the dot-com boom of the ’90s as a graphic designer for a multimedia firm in Atlanta, Georgia, and later for a marketing firm and commercial web site in Charleston, South Carolina. After a successful 20+ year career in graphic design, I now apply my design skills and experience to my exploration of sculpture, painting, and assemblage. My sculptures are created with polymer clay which is light and durable. I spend hours forming the clay over an armature, then bake the piece. Final
