I'm a British writer with Egyptian-German heritage and a working-class background. My debut novel 'Verge' – a folk horror-tinged road trip across a divided Kingdom – will be published 11th May 2023 by Serpent's Tail, and will be available in audiobook format. In 2019 I won the FAB (Faber) prize for fiction and was selected for the London Writers Awards. A graduate of the Curtis Brown novel-writing course, I’ve been published in Spread the Word’s City of Stories anthology, Star Songs and Luna Station Quarterly and continue to build a gothic short story collection.
