Animal liberationist and gender critical feminist. I work toward social change through the radical transformation of food systems. One of my main focuses has been the role of school milk programs in spreading dairy consumption across the globe. My writing, speaking and organizing on this has raised awareness of the dietary racism inherent to these programs and has inspired others to work and organize on this issue. I also counter the increasingly prevalent myth that sustainable agriculture requires animal exploitation. My work has been key in building a movement for veganic farming, bringing a focus to food systems and alternatives to animal ag to the animal rights movement, legitimizing veganism in the environmental movement, and popularizing veganics to a wider audience. My blog is also a place where I share my thoughts on gender identity and the erosion of women's rights.
