We help neighbors who are too frail to do the work themselves and too poor to pay someone. They need us. We try to reach them before a neighbor calls the city on them. Every neighbor, whether they rent or own, deserves to at least have a chance to find peace on their property. For many in my city this experience is out of reach. Consumed by poverty, illness, and lonliness neighbors grow old alone with most living near them never knowing. When their properties become overgrown a neighbor inevitably chooses to call the city on them instead of offering to help. I hope to change that mindset by setting an example and coming to their aid. I decided to try to help in any way possible, despite a fulltime job, an ill wife and an aged father I'm caring for. Time, Energy and Attention are 3 human backed currencies which are needed to circulate in our neighborhoods, to help our neighbors in need and to teach the next generation what it looks and feels like to be a good neighbor and a responsible citizen. If you can't give a government backed currency, please consider helping a neighbor in need near you. 100% of monies raised here will go to the upkeep of a donated truck and to gas for equipment, work gloves, and other things needed to help folks out of a bind all across the CIty of Wichita.
