Hello everyone, This is Mel from NYisMyBackyard, a Native New York City (Born and Raised) Brooklyn based licensed Tour Guide offering many different ways to see the city, with Tips & Tours on how to conquer the Big City and sometimes State, one adventure at a time. My plan is to create content consisting of different types of maps, videos, ranging anywhere from walks to bike rides, "the inside scoop" on cheap and or free activities, events, & outdoor adventures. As one of Jehovah’s Witnesses all my activities have a Bible Based principle to them. So you will find a Spiritual aspect to everything I do! I love this city and am excited about showing you my favorite parts and discoveries (yes after 40 plus years living here there is always something new to discover) around me to my viewers and subscribers, and hope to continue doing it for as long as I am able. Right now, I am primarily leaning toward itineraries and NY travel tips and hoping to grow in the video and social media realm.
