We have a problem, our virtual world and how much information we give it has real world consequences. How do you explain something that doesn't seem real? How do you get people to care enough to campaign against the very real weakening of our privacy? Well we have an answer. Humans have been hacking each other for years with stories. I aim to help by using mythology, folklore and stories and applying them to modern life particularly with the dangers of #massdatacollection to our #privacy. Here's a wee example: With folklore, folks used to be cautious about what to do with hair and nail clippings. As those could give a witch or sorcerer power over you. We have this now with our electronic clippings, we give our clippings to social networks and that gives a whole heap of power to them and to the buyers of that data who can then analyze it. There's an analogy for you.
