A friend is in an assisted VA facility. While basic needs are taken care of, nothing can comfort the way nostalgic ethnic food can. The food one grows up with. They are the smells and tastes of a personal lifetime of memories. I can make these, but I need help with ingredients and shipping. The first goal is a Hungarian dish made with cabbage.
I love to tell stories that inspire, transport, and move one. I tell my stories with food, photography, and words. Using words and photography to convey feeling and atmosphere, to create a virtual space you can feel all around you. My inspiration comes from my memories, observations, and introspection. Medically forced to retire, we have created a little farm, supported by farm-to-table foods, fresh bread, and bakery sales. This opens the avenue to write and create on multiple levels, from designing the farm, the foods, and the recipes, as well as the stories. Wingspread Farm is a manifested dream with chickens. Writing and art is the dream of my soul. My physical limitations have forced me to travel inside. My stories reflect the bittersweetness, and dichotomy of life.
