Paolo Fiore

Hello, this is Paolo Fiore. Welcome to my Ko-fi page! 😀 I run a personal blog (at PaoloFiores.BlogSpot.com) that is one of the few blogs on the Web focused on the study of music as an academic subject as well as on a variety of related topics concerning the arts, science, technology, and the human condition. On top of that, I post about my life experiences, my ongoing projects, my other online activities, and other random stuff. But, since you're here, you probably already know that—and you probably also know how the blog has enjoyed good readership from the beginning because of the emphasis on scientific evidence and on points of controversy, where experts disagree. In fact, I like to dig up implicit assumptions and examine them to find out if they are warranted. Intellectual transparency is also emphasized. I try to make it clear why I think the literature says what I think it says, especially since I often interpret research results as supporting conclusions other than those of the other experts. I want to continue to provide my readers with a thoughtful interpretation of the complex science of music as it unfolds, and I want to synthesize some of these ideas into a popular book—but it is time-intensive! In order to focus on creating free content online, I've invested time and money by rejecting paid jobs and allocating personal savings. This will give me a chance to reach the audience that I think it would benefit and interest. However, it will not be self-sustaining. Rather than advertising, an irrelevant distraction at best, I would prefer to enable voluntary contributions at the reader's discretion. Ko-fi provides a structured mechanism for this that allows you to show your support with a low level of commitment. So, if you like my content and want me to continue providing free content online, please consider supporting what I do with my blog and social media profiles as well by offering me a coffee on Ko-fi! Thank you!! ❤️
