After several years, my PC is dying. I use it both to create and educate and it now crashes whenever I start up a game to create content with. I can't stream, I can't edit, and without my PC, I can't work on game accessibility either. I really didn't want to do this. But I've been trying to get a job for months, and nothing. I'm desperate. Hello! My name is Lily and I'm a queer disabled writer. I am also a variety streamer on Twitch; my usual games are cozy and chill ones with a focus on narrative storytelling. My community is warm, inclusive, and a place for marginalised people to feel safe. I’m also the creator of the Disabled Streamers Database and the Nook of Spoons, a Discord server for disabled and chronically ill people. My disabilities include fibromyalgia, (a condition involving both chronic pain and chronic fatigue), cerebral palsy, depression, and anxiety. I am still seeking treatment for my fibromyalgia. Because of my illnesses, holding down a steady job is currently impossible. As a result, I've delved more deeply into public engagement on social media to explore what I love; I'm a big believer in using Twitter to educate and foster discussion. I’m particularly passionate about video games, queer history, accessibility, and disability history. Additionally, I write fiction and poetry on various subjects - although my favourite genre is queer fantasy. (I'm currently working on a novel involving queer love in space.)
