I'm an autistic, nonbinary South Saami artist struggling with both bad mental health and making ends meet. My dream is to make something of my talent, and start a small business where I make and sell pins, clothes, plushies, vinyl figures etc. Unfortunately even just starting on such a journey takes a lot of money, and as I'm currently unable to work (partially due to my mental health, partially due to this pandemic putting resources for people trying to slowly get back into work on hold) it's just not possible. Bööresth, hi and welcome to my Ko-Fi page. I am an autistic nonbinary South Saami artist who is passionate about everything from indigenous rights, animals and LGBTQ+ issues to DnD and plushies. Now, being an artist can be immensely fun, but at the same time extremely challenging. Artists are constantly heavily underpaid and our profession is looked down upon as a 'hobby' despite the fact that it is our job and the way we try to pay our bills. Making ends meet is a constant struggle, especially when you also have to battle bad mental health. Financial stability seems like a pipe dream and it's often very hard to go on. Any and all encouragement from people who appreciate my art or just want to help support a struggling queer artist is both cherished and more than welcome. Thank you from the bottom of my heart <3
