Hi, I'm David. I've been a big fan of the Ganbare Goemon series, and I started this Ko-fi to look at the games I grew up with from another perspective. With this project, I’ve made it my goal to play through the entire Ganbare Goemon series in chronological order. Created and produced by Konami, it is a beloved game series that started on the Famicom (the NES in Japan) in 1986 and ended on the Nintendo DS in 2005. It's been mostly confined to Japan, but it has a small but strong following around the world. I thought it would be interesting to research the context and development of the games through historical and cultural lenses.
