This is a modern adaptation of a 1900s lingerie style riding corset (Swiss riding corset) made with 6 vertical panels. This is a waspie corset which means that its slightly shorter than an underbust. This is a beginner friendly corset pattern based of of extant examples of lingerie style "riding: corsets. This corset is based off of fashion corsets of the time, by which I mean the original corsets this is based off of were not created for tight lacing. SIZING All measurements are in inches. This corset pattern was created for a waist reduction of about 2 inches. This may differ depending on the wears anatomy and preferences. This pattern comes in 17 sizes. Each size comes in its own file. ***Measurement chart on the last slide above includes 2" lacing gap*** ie. size A fits a corseted waist of 21" but is 19" fully closed. Sewing level: Beginner/intermediate corset maker. This corset uses an 8inch busk for all sizes. Center front length is 9 inches total. The sample corset is structured with 6mm synthetic whale bone with one boning channel on either side of the grommets at the back and a single bone at each seam. The sample corset is a 23" corseted waist. I highly recommend adding more boning for a larger size. This could be in the form of double or triple boing channel on each seam and/or additional boning channels between seams. This pattern does NOT include written instructions
