Hu Li is a pair of warm fingerless mittens featuring a geometrical fair isle design. The back side is a block of axisymmetric pattern that resembles a fox’s face (or a snowflake?), which is why I decided to call it Hu Li (狐狸)- meaning “fox” in Chinese. The inside is designed with a simple pattern repeat that is only 4-stitch wide. Two colour schemes are provided, but you can use 2-6 colours of your choice depending on your stash. The mittens are made with DK weight yarn, and would be a good introductory fair isle project that is quick and satisfying to knit.
