Update (January 4, 2023): In the latest Citra updates (we're using Nightly-1824), there's an option to separate the 3DS's virtual screens into their own, separate windows. To do so while in Citra, just click View > Screen Layout > Separate Windows. No additional setup is necessary. Although, you may need to remap your controller after updating. For a video walkthrough, check out our update video: youtu.be/YSnIE1womaA While unnecessary for newer builds, we're still providing the custom config files for download for anyone looking for example files or wanting to use older versions of the app. The qt-config.ini file provided with the download is also our base file without revisions in case anyone can't find a copy of their own. Original description: Citra's emulated screen layouts can be quite opaque for anyone just starting to get a grasp on 3DS emulation on a handheld PC. To save folks some time and effort, we created a some replacement config.ini files with layouts fine tuned for using the Steam Deck with monitors of various resolutions. Once downloaded, it's as easy as copying the new files into your config.ini of choice into the citra-emu/config directory of your choice. For extra info, check out the Citra chapter of our Steam Deck Dual Screen Tutorial (embedded below). All files also contain commented out alternate Steam Deck monitor layouts with a 4:3 size and black bars for a more accurate bottom screen experience.
