AVAILABLE NOW A graphite drawing on paper, of the typical style of crucifixion figures, painted in egg tempera on large wood panels, of the mid-13th century ("Duecento" in Italian) in Umbria, popularised by the new Franciscan mendicant order. It is rendered in graphite on paper. It is an original work, not a copy of any existing work from the period or contemporary painters. It is offered as a print on "William Turner" 100% cotton, acid-free archival paper by the Hahnemühle specialist company in Germany, with "deckled" edges perfect for a float frame. Original size of the image is 45.5 cm x 35 cm. The original paper size was 50 cm x 35 cm. Print size options with prices are listed below. The first price listed is for a print of the image approximately in its original size. Two size options, with adjusted prices, are available below. Let me know if you'd like something different and we can sort it out. Other options include printing on canvas. The printing company also does some (limited) framing. Canvas and framed prints will have extra charges for printing and shipping, so again let me know what you're after and we'll work together to get what you're looking for. I created it as a preparatory drawing for a potential painted version, either in egg tempera or as a digital painting, so if you're interested in commissioning one of these beautiful painted panel crucifixes for your home, your parish or monastery, let me know and we can talk. The images following my drawing in the gallery here show some original 13th century examples, for reference. If you'd like to know more about this art form, you can read my blog post hilarywhite.substack.com/p/ecce-agnus-dei-13th-century-umbrian NB: The image included in this shop window is a photograph, but the print will be made from a high-resolution (300+ dpi) digital scan which will show the image in perfect focus. Printed on high quality, archival art paper, the finished print will be nearly indistinguishable from the original drawing.
