An arbitrary level at which I will certainly recognise that people appreciate my work.
I write because I enjoy it, and because I think it's useful or interesting to people. However, my time is limited; contributions mean I can spend more time on my writing. More importantly, though, they let me know that people really do find my work useful or interesting, or that they appreciate it in some way. This is great for my motivation and helps fuel a sense of well-being. I can't say that contributions will go to anything specific, except enabling me to spend more time on writing. If there's ever a 'big spend' I need to make that will support my writing, I'll be sure to update here and set a goal so you know something more concrete that it's going to support.
