This program is a limited residency program, meaning I only meet in person 4 weeks of the year. 2 weeks are here in CT, while 2 weeks will be spent in different states and will need travel expenses budgeted for. All funding here will go into savings for these class trips in the future.
Hello! My name is Megan but you can also call me Scarlet. I am a watercolor artist based out of Connecticut, and I focus mainly on painting flora & fauna. My love of painting animals, plants, fungi, bones and other natural subjects has led me to pursue a career in Natural Science Illustration. I believe that there is a strong connection between all things nature, science and magic and I try to bring that into my art work. I received my BFA in illustration form Hartford Art School, and I am currently enrolled in RISD's certificate program for Natural Science Illustration. I also stream my art weekly on my twitch channel and we have built a lovely community over there that continues over to our discord.

Hello! And welcome to my Ko-Fi page! While I love streaming my art weekly over on Twitch, I always wanted a place to post my art and illustration journey for when I create art offline. There are days where I really just need to nestle into the studio and focus on my artwork and lessons, an those days are just not as suited for streaming. That's where this Ko-Fi comes into play. I want to be able to extend my art to my supporters on another platform other than solely streaming on Twitch. It is my goal to make my illustration business my full time career and any support I receive here on Ko-Fi, Twitch or other sales and commissions go straight back into my art business and education. I am currently enrolled in RISD's Natural Science Illustration Certificate Program, so many contributions will be going to cover those classes and art supplies. Any and all support is much appreciated and I cant wait to share my art and art business journey with you all!
