The overall aim is to somehow wangle a way to have one (or more) Scraplets sent into actual space. We may have to bribe some quite high up people to do this, so we'll need a million pounds eventually, but we'll start with £100. I'll keep you updated on the final total needed.
Hey up, I'm Mark - the Chief Scrapleteer. During the dark old days of lockdown I developed the Scraplets, a host of daft characters made from reclaimed wood and other bits and bobs from my workshop. It kept me busy and creative during an otherwise crazy time. Since then it has turned into an all consuming passion that has, ultimately, taken over my life.... Scraplets are now available to buy online and in various shops around the UK. I can't help but think that's insane. However, this page isn't really about the physical Scraplets - there's a website for that (www.scraplets.co.uk), it's more a place that I can post the Scraplet doodles that come about as I write their stories. I want to use this space to experiment with designs. Prints and downloads of the final pieces will (eventually) be available for purchase, but there's a lot of doodling to get done before that happens...
Hello Scrapleteers!! What the hell is going on here then? Well, this page is going to be a "catch all" for lots of my ideas, doodles and nonsense. More a notebook than anything else. I'm currently in the process of writing and drawing a series of books about the Scraplet characters. There's a lot of stuff that is still in my brain, and a lot of stuff hidden away in proper notebooks and on my phone - that's the stuff that's going to be uploaded onto here to try and create some sort of coherent whole. Good luck with deciphering it all. It's not going to be in any sort of order whatsoever. Also, some Scraplets are available for sale directly through this page - a nice little bonus indeed - but the rest of them are available over at scraplets.co.uk (there is no way on this Earth that I'm transferring 300+ listings across!)
