thePipeLine Heritage News

Since thePipeLine was first published a decade ago the site has led the way in breaking a series of stories about the misuse and mistreatment of our shared heritage, including, - the threat to a number of registered UK battlefields from redevelopment, -the looting of warships sunk at the Battle of Jutland, -the attempts of archaeological bodies in the UK to shut down independent campaigns for archaeology, - Odyssey Marine Exploration's attempts to salvage HMS Victory 1744 and sell artefacts which belonged to lost Royal Navy sailors -and the controversy over the "Nazi War Diggers" TV series. Researching and fact checking these stories takes time and money and every penny donated here will support the website in continuing to be able to speak truth to power in the heritage sector, and tell people who care about heritage the things some people would rather they did not know. The video shows how thePipeLine was introduced to the world in 2014.
