YouTube channel shining the spotlight on literary translators reading from their work, founded by Charlotte Coombe & Tina Kover in May 2020. This project started off as a labour of love, but it has been more successful than we initially imagined it might be. As Translators Aloud's presence continues to grow and evolve, our little team of two finds itself dedicating more time and effort to its administration and outreach. Proceeds of our ko-fi and merchandise sales will go toward the funding of a Bursary for the British Centre for Literary Translation Summer School each year, sponsoring either travel or full participation (if possible) for a Black, Asian, or Ethnically Diverse translator, with any remaining funds covering the costs of running the channel and promoting all our content (translators' readings) across our various social media platforms.
