Hi there! My name's Mashi. I'm a Tokyo-based programming instructor and the creator of Chairo+, a blog where I discuss identity, ethnicity, and belonging, as well as how they relate to my favorite two media, anime and games, through reviews, analyses, and reports. I started the blog in May 2020, after finally deciding to write down some of the things that have been on my mind since moving here two years ago. With already over twelve articles, and with more to come at least every other week, I hope to create a space where I can dig into the issues that matter to me as a brown person, hence "chairo," or the color brown in Japanese. This Ko-fi account will be used to help maintain the blog while also allowing more content through funding guest writers, artists, and other collaborators!
